Day 3: One of the Most Beautiful Moments at Work

It was my last day before vacation, and my to-do list was already a complete mess. Still, I told my team I would map all the notes from the flip chart at our workshop yesterday into an Excel list myself.

One team member reached me with a Teams message and one Excel file attached. The message was simple: "I had some time, so I did it for you."

I was deeply moved and genuinely grateful. I hadn't asked anyone to do it, nor did I expect it. But someone saw a gap, recognized my workload, and stepped in to support the team without waiting for direction.

Looking back on my first year, this is one of the moments that stays with me. It's so small but so beautiful.

When was the last time someone on your team surprised you like that?

This is part of my "100 Days of Year One" series. Follow along as I share what I've learned in my first year as Head of Data and Cloud.
