Am I moving forward, or just moving?
I'm one third into this series. And the year is flying. The trees are getting colorful. The autumn is there.
Workshops. Negotiation. Many meetings, good discussions, everyone busy. And then, months later, I look around and realize we're still exactly where we started.
I want to pause and ask myself why I started.
Why I'm writing these 100 days. Not because every day has to produce something impressive. There are days not productive at all. But it forces me to stop and ask:
- What am I actually learning?
- What am I building?
- Am I still moving toward something that matters to me?
I'm starting to think part of my job as a leader is helping my team ask those questions too, before the fading starts.
When did you last realize months of effort had left you in the same place, and what did you change after that?
This is part of my "100 Days of Year One" series. Follow along as I share what I've learned in my first year as Head of Data and Cloud.
